Japanese Inventors Develop Rankine Cycle Device

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 16 -- Naoki Ohta, Naoki Itoh, Tsuneo Endoh, Tsutomu Takahashi and Kensuke Honma, all from Wako, Japan, have developed a Rankine cycle system that includes an evaporator for heating a liquid and generating a vapor.
An abstract of the invention, released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, said: "A Rankine cycle system is provided in which, with regard to a given relationship between the pressure and the temperature of a vapor that is taken into an expander that includes a cylinder chamber in a first stage and a vane chamber in a second stage, the chambers being ...
