California Inventors Develop Positive Type Metal Oxide Semiconductor Device

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 12 -- Akira Ito and Henry K. Chen, both of Irvine, Calif., have developed a positive-type metal oxide semiconductor (PMOS) device. According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A PMOS device can include an negative (N)-well that does not extend completely throughout the active region of the PMOS device. For example, the PMOS device can be fabricated using a masking step to provide an N-well having an inner perimeter and an outer perimeter."
