Texas A&M University, a component of the public university system in Texas, issued the following news from its agriculture program:
Thanks to years of unrestricted spraying, the ordinary housefly is becoming more resistant to commonly used pesticides every year, said a Texas Cooperative Extension entomologist.
"Resistance is widespread, and it's not confined to agricultural operations," said Dr. Jeff Tomberlin, Extension entomologist.
