Michigan Inventors Develop Automotive Vehicle Yaw Control

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 8 -- Keith Glenn Mattson of Livonia, Mich., Douglas Scott Rhode of Farmington Hills, Mich., and Todd Allen Brown of Dearborn, Mich., have developed a yaw control for an automotive vehicle using steering actuators.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A stability control system for an automotive vehicle includes a plurality of sensors sensing the dynamic conditions of the vehicle. The sensors include a steering angle sensor and a yaw rate sensor. The controller is coupled to the steering angle sensor and the yaw rate sensor."
