An homologous series of carboxylic FA, from methanoic to triacontanoic, were characterized by selected structural descriptors based on distance matrix (W, A, ^sup 0^B, ^sup 1^B), adjacency matrix (M, M^sup ν^, ^sup 0^χ, ^sup 1^χ, ^sup 2^χ, ^sup 0^χ^sup ν^, ^sup 1^χ^sup ν^, ^sup 2^χ^sup ν^, F, N^sub 2^), and information theory (I^sub SA^, ...) as well as electrotopological states.
