Rep. Ortiz Introduces Resolution Recognizing Extraordinary Contributions of First Lady of Texas Politics

WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 -- Rep. Solomon P. Ortiz, D-Texas, has introduced a resolution (H.Res. 1049) "recognizing Ann Richards' extraordinary contributions to Texas and American public life and offering condolences on her passing."

The resolution, introduced on Sept. 27, was co-sponsored by 12 representatives. It was referred to the House Government Reform Committee.
