With the Class A state playoffs nearing, Hales Franciscan and North Lawndale are gearing up for a run at a state title.

Both continued their drive toward that goal with victories over the weekend. North Lawndale notched easy wins over Cristo Rey and St. Anne's while Hales notched another Catholic League -victory by defeating Brother Rice.
