Angle parking issues revisited, 2001

A national study of curb-parking accidents was completed far the FHWA in 1978, with a TRB summary in 1979. Other TRB papers on curb parking have been published. Safety studies in small cities have included parking-accident findings. This feature, the second in a series on parking, summarizes data from the FHWA project, other unpublished and published studies from the 1970s through 1991 and from two 2001 studies in Arizona.
