Coro Cervantes at the Wigmore for the Ginastera Festival

The 10th-Anniversary this year of the Coro Cervantes, founded in London by its conductor Carlos Fernandez Aransay, coincided with the year long London Ginastera Festival and the choir's contribution proved to be a distinguished programme at the Wigmore Hall on 1 June before a virtually sold-out audience. They were accompanied at the piano in the first half by Alberto Portugheis, the Festival's Director, and by guitarist Morgan Szymanski in the final work, Romancero Gitano Opus 152 by Castelnuovo-Tedesco, an impressively evocative Suite in six movements to poems by Federico Garcia Lorca dating ...
