Over 150 tribals evicted from villages of Khargone district

NEW DELHI, India, June 17 -- OVER 150 tribals have been forcefully evicted from their land in village Jamnia, Maheshwar tehsil in Khargone district by the Forest department officials, in gross violation of standing orders of the State government and Supreme Court guidelines.

Making this allegation, Madhya Pradesh Kisan Sabha state secretary Arun Chauhan said that the Forest department officials not only evicted the tribals, they also broke their utensils and other household goods and also beat up and terrorised them.
