ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 9 -- David Lewis of Toronto has developed a latch circuitry for programmable logic regions on integrated circuits such as programmable logic device integrated circuits.

An abstract of the invention, released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, said: "A programmable logic device may have programmable logic regions based on programmable combinational logic circuits.
