Abstract
The history and results of Kennecott's large-scale chalcopyrite leach program are presented. The program has now been underway for more than ten years. This paper describes the construction and active operation of the two-lift heap and the ancillary solvent extraction-electrowinning (SX-EW) pilot plant.
