Abstract

With the emphasis on clinical governance, there is an impetus in health visiting to evaluate service provision. The view of consumers receiving the health visiting service is an essential part of this evaluation for an improvement in quality. In a small study 30 first time parents were interviewed to examine their perceptions and experiences of the health visiting service.
