The New Mexico Department of Tourism issued the following news release:

With a piercing whistle and a mighty puff of steam, the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad proudly begins its 125th anniversary season on Saturday, May 27. The Cumbres & Toltec is a historic gem, owned by the people of Colorado and New Mexico. It runs through unspoiled wilderness between Chama, New Mexico and Antonito, Colorado, part of its original route. The steam-powered, narrow-gauge railroad still has its own equipment, from locomotives to cabooses, making it unique in all of North America. A ride on the train ...
