London, May 8 -- Kiwi film director Peter Jackson is working on a 100 million pound remake of 'The Dam Busters'. He is set to use his special effects expertise and a big budget to the World War II classic.

The military-mad movie-maker has already conducted test shots in New Zealand of a Lancaster Bomber, one of the two of the 617 Squadron planes still airborne.

He also met with RAF veterans, who are currently in their 80s, in his Kiwi homeland to discuss the project.
