Analysis of Flow of Credit to Different Categories of Farmers - A Study in Nalanda District of Bihar

A study was undertaken in Hilsa block of Nalanda district of Bihar with a view to examine the flow of rural credit to different categories of farmers. Data were collected from a random sample of 75 farmers consisting of 37 marginal, 25 small and 13 large farmers pertaining to the year 2002-03. The findings of the study revealed that the marginal farms constituted 49.33 per cent of the total sample households and owned 22.95 per cent of the total land.
