NO AIR FORCE OFFICERS PLOTTING COUP, SAYS AFP

THE Armed Forces of the Philippines on Wednesday belied reports that a group of "disgruntled" Air Force officers was plotting to launch a coup against the Arroyo administration.

The AFP Public Information chief, Col. Tristan Kison, said the military will not in any manner support any unconstitutional move to overthrow the government.

"We deny that there are elements within our ranks that support the launching of any coup," Kison told reporters at a press briefing in Camp Agu...
