Choreographer and director Bob Fosse revolutionized musical theater with his sinewy, provocative movement. Starting in the late 1950s, Fosse's style-characterized by subtle yet compelling movements, such as isolated hip thrusts or a raised eyebrow, which he picked up while tap dancing at burlesque houses as a youth-caused a stir on Broadway.
