STATE COMPTROLLER HEVESI, NEW YORK BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ANNOUNCE INVESTMENT IN MOUNT VERNON BUSINESS

The New York State Comptroller issued the following news release:
A local businessman was able to acquire and then double the business at Lincoln Barbeque, a restaurant specializing in Portuguese cuisine in Mount Vernon thanks to three loans totaling $635,000 from the New York State Common Retirement Fund (CRF) and the New York Business Development Corporation (NYBDC), New York State Comptroller Alan G. Hevesi announced today. The pension fund alone provided $425,000, more than half the total amount.
