The city of Wilmington issued the following news release:

Rosa Parks, the Montgomery, Alabama seamstress credited with starting the modern civil rights era, will be honored in Wilmington on Saturday, February 25, when Water Street along the Christina Riverfront is renamed Rosa Parks Drive. A ceremony celebrating the life of Rosa Parks, who died last October, is part of a Black History Month event led by Wilmington Mayor James M. Baker, City Council President Theodore Blunt, 1st District City Council Member Charles Potter, Jr., the primary sponsor of a Council Ordinance designating Rosa Parks ...
