HICKORY REGIONAL AIRPORT REMAINS STRONG, DESPITE LOSS OF COMMERCIAL SERVICE

The city of Hickory issued the following press release:
The Hickory Regional Airport will continue to have more than 100 landings on average per day after Delta Connection takes it last flight out of Hickory on January 22.
Delta began providing commercial jet service in Hickory on May 1, 2005, but due to many factors, the airline announced in October that service would be discontinued from the Hickory Regional Airport.
