Bernie Mac on How Life Is: I Ain't Scared of You; Chicago comedian has new book, tv show

Bernie Mac, the man, is no joke.

"I don't care about image. I don't care what people think," he said emphatically.

The Chicago-born comedian was kidding around when he said mainstream wasn't ready for him. But frankly, he could care less. He was dubbed "The King of the high grossing comedy tour" Kings of Comedy.

With a new book in stores and a sitcom `The Bernie Mac Show" in the works, he's coming hard core whether they're ready or not.
