IT firm's anger as (pounds) 2.5m Scottish Executive contract goes south

THE Scottish Executive has come under fire from leading Scottish business organisations and opposition politicians over its failure to award an IT supply contract to a Scottish-based network support specialist, NVT Computing.

NVT believes the (pounds) 2.5 million, five-year contract ought to have come its way because of what it describes as a "strong tender" which it believes fulfilled the required terms and would have supplied services at a competitive rate.

The contract went instead to Derbyshire-based Servo.
