Lauder portrait goes for auction

A self-portrait by the music hall star Harry Lauder will be put on public display this summer for the first time since it was bought by a private collector more than 30 years ago.

The autographed pen drawing, which shows Sir Harry complete with trademark pipe and Tam o'Shanter will be put up for auction as part of Bonhams's Scottish sale in Edinburgh this August.
