South Charleston throws group farewell party: Mayor, secretary, treasurer, police chief all opting for retirement

Marsha Smith, South Charleston's treasurer, officially retired Oct. 31, 2006 - the day of all good witches, she says.

Margie Spence, South Charleston Mayor Richie Robb's secretary, will retire when the mayor does on June 30.

South Charleston Police Chief David Dunlap turned in his badge March 30.

Mayor Robb will turn over the reins of the city to a new mayor June 30 after 32 years in South Charleston city government.

The public servants have worked continuously for the city of South Charleston for a combined 110 years. They were honored by City Council at a Tuesday luncheon.
