Industry veteran Goodwin named CEO of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.

WHEELING - Wheeling Pittsburgh Corp. has officially filled the top posts in its steel company, taken over in a proxy fight last month by Illinois-based Esmark Inc.

Industry veteran John Goodwin has been named chief executive officer of subsidiary Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., while Thomas A. Modrowski has been named president and chief operating officer. David A. Luptak is the new executive vice president, general counsel and secretary, the company said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
