MORGANTOWN - A performance like Eric Wicks had against Mississippi
State - six tackles, two sacks and one interception - is what West
Virginia Coach Rich Rodriguez wants and expects from the senior
safety each game.
"He has played some pretty good football, and he has made a lot of
big plays," Rodriguez said of Wicks, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound senior
strong safety from Pittsburgh.
"But I don't think he has played his best football yet. I don't
think he's nearly where we think he can be. I think once he's more
consistent, he can be one of the better safeties in the (Big East
Conference)."
