NEW YORK - Anne Bancroft, the Tony award-winning actress best remembered for her role as Mrs. Robinson in "The Graduate", has died. She was 73.

Bancroft died Monday of uterine cancer, according to John Barlow, a spokesman for her husband, producer Mel Brooks.
