PARKERSBURG - West Virginia's largest teacher's union called on the state Board of Education to immediately take over the Hampshire County school system.

"Hampshire County needs new leadership now, not six months from now," said Tom Lange, president of the West Virginia Education Association. "Hampshire County is a black mark on education across this state. Your action or lack of action will surely send a message."
