Ryan Newman chooses not to think about what might have been in this final NASCAR Winston Cup season. He's too dialed into what has been, and what still could be.

"I think we've had high points, low points, and we've enjoyed the spoils of Victory Lane," said Newman, who earned the pole position for Sunday's Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500. "I can't say it's coming to an end too soon."
