TO hear Sue Sergi tell it, the most impressive thing about the
soaring structure jutting high above the East End has nothing to do
with the arts or sciences.
At the Clay Center, it's all about the bathrooms, baby.
Each of the Clay Center's main women's restrooms have a fleet of
25 stainless steel stalls. That is contrasted against only five
stalls in each of the men's restrooms.
Construction officials recommend a 2-to-1 stall ratio in favor of
the women. Clay Center officials had loftier aspirations.
