Black Eagle family back together: Benjamin returns, Hornbuckle takes over late against Beckley

Joe Benjamin's return from injury to the South Charleston High starting lineup was not spectacular.

But what he lacked in expected points and rebounds, he more than atoned for with an abundance of emotion.

"He makes a major difference mentally and with his enthusiasm," said Coach Bobby Dawson. "Just his presence meant the world to us."

"With him back," said junior forward Lee Hall, "it feels like we have our family back together."
