Winfield Scott Dies at 59; Associate Dean at GWU

Winfield Scott, 59, associate dean for education at George
Washington University Medical School, died Jan. 14 at his home in
Washington. He had AIDS.
He was the director of the National Lesbian and Gay Health
Foundation. In 1979 and 1980, he was president of the Whitman-Walker
Clinic in Washington.
Dr. Scott was born in Tamaqua, Pa. He graduated from
Pennsylvania State University, where he also received a master's and
doctoral degrees in clinical psychology.
From 1957 to 1959, he was a clinical psychologist at the U.S.
Public Health Service Hospital in Fort Worth, Tex., and from 1959 to ...
