What if you asked 3,000 artisans to donate a handmade ornament,
preferably an angel, for your tree? And they all said yes. And then
some sent two, three or four? And you promised to use them all. Last
Saturday, while Hillary Rodham Clinton and daughter, Chelsea, were
busy baking Christmas cookies upstairs in the private quarters, we
spent the day watching 200 volunteers and staffers, armed with 7,500
ornaments, furiously bring holiday cheer to the White House.
