Former Car Salesman Testifies in Laundering Case; Man Tells How He Sold to Undercover Police

A former salesman at a Rosenthal car dealership described yesterday how he sold a $23,000 sedan to two men he believed were drug dealers who wanted to buy a car for cash without leaving a paper trail of the transaction.

Willie Gladden, 31, testified in U.S. District Court under a cooperation agreement with prosecutors. He is the first former Rosenthal employee to testify for the prosecution in the money- laundering case against 11 former managers and sales agents of the sales organization, one of the largest such businesses in the area, with dealerships in Maryland and Virginia.
