Seneca Valley pupils rally for end to strike

Seneca Valley students conducted a peaceful rally Thursday at the district's main campus as the adults on both sides of a two-week- old teachers strike continued to trade barbs and insults.

A group of about 70 students who met to pray said they just want to return to school. The event was organized by Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry and included students from at least six churches in the district.

"Once you are not at school, you miss it. You are out of the loop," said Steven Chepke, 12, of Cranberry, a student at Seneca Valley Middle School.
