Two Ross-shire community councils have disbanded in the past few months because of a lack of people coming forward to serve.

Highland Council has announced that Conon Bridge Community Council is being dissolved because only six people nominated themselves for the recent elections - half of the number of community councillors needed.

And the nearby village of Maryburgh is also without a community council for the same reason. All the assets of the organisations will be transferred ...
