YAKIMA - John was born April 30, 1914 in Boyd, MN to John and Minnie Bolm, the oldest of 9 children. His life on the Minnesota farm during the 20's and 30's generated so many lively stories and memories. For fun he and his brothers had a western music group that sang and played for dances, etc. But the farming was not for him; he accepted a job in Yellowstone Park. There he met Agnes Rasmusson who became his wife in 1941. It was such a wonderful time in his life and they chose to stay on as "winter keepers." He was soon drafted into the Army Air Force for 4 years ...
