YAKIMA George William Powell, 74, of Yakima, passed away
Wednesday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
George was born Nov. 20, 1931 in Arkansas to Bryan and Audie
(Dockins) Powell. He received his education in Arkansas. He served
his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
George married Hazel Owens on June 11, 1956 in Coeur d' Alene,
Idaho and they made their home in Yakima. He worked for various
mobile stations as a mechanic: Big Y Packing Shed, Northwest Pack,
Valley Juice, Hi Country Juice, and most recently NAMUS.
