There was virtually no opposition Thursday to a proposed apple
maggot quarantine for the western portion of Yakima County.
About 20 people gathered in a meeting room at the Washington State
Department of Agriculture's Yakima office to give testimony on plans
to place the portion of the county west of a north-south line running
through the junction of U.S. Highway 12 and State Route 410 under
quarantine for the fruit-damaging pest....
