Quarantine Opposed by Kittitas Growers

ELLENSBURG -- Kittitas County orchardists argued Tuesday that a
proposed quarantine won't stop an apple-eating maggot from spreading
elsewhere in the region, but it will deliver them a financial blow.
A quarantine would add another layer of paperwork and inspections
for apple exporters and limit access to some international markets.
