SEATTLE - Randy James Sohappy "Ch wa al," 51, of Wapato, Washington, went to the Creator on Sunday, July 20, 2003 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, due to an extended illness.

Randy was born April 10, 1952 in Toppenish, WA to Lawrence Sohappy, Sr. and Doris Nanamkin. He was raised and educated in Wapato. Randy married Charlotte Kahama on April 15, 1972. He was a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes. He received his Indian name, "Ch wa al" from his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Sohappy. Randy had played for the "Harrah Spurs," coached ...
