Dorothy Osborne Raised canaries, finches, parakeets and cockatiels

EPSOM - Dorothy Rand Osborne, 89, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, at home after a short illness.

She was born in Epsom, the daughter of Karl F. and Helen (Towle) Rand.

Dot was raised in Epsom on her parents' chicken farm.

She graduated from Pembroke Academy in 1934 and later attended Austin Cate Academy in Center Strafford.

She and her husband raised Scottish Terriers during the earlier years of their marriage. They named their kennel Orcliff Kennels, a combination of their names. She and her mother also raised canaries in her mother's home in Epsom.
