Heated competition: Norwell selects finalists for fire chief job Town will break with tradition if outside candidate is chosen

The four finalists for fire chief have been revealed, and two of
them are not from Norwell.
The town has never had a fire chief that did not first serve on
the Norwell Fire Department, said selectmen Chairman John Mariano.
That could change, however, should selectmen hire someone from
outside the department. Fire Chief Paul Rosebach is set to retire on
March 15.
