Gaynor resigns Norwell selectman seat; Town expected to hold election soon for vacant position

NORWELL - Paul Gaynor has resigned from the town's board of selectmen because he and his family are moving out of town.

The town will probably hold an election in coming weeks to replace Gaynor, who served four years as selectman, Chairman John Mariano said.

Gaynor said he has been searching for a new home to purchase in Norwell since selling his house in August. For the past several months, he has been renting a house in Norwell.
