Dr. Paul F. Murphy, 71, ran dental practice in Weymouth

CHATHAM - Dr. Paul F. Murphy , 71, of Chatham, a retired dentist, died Tuesday at Bon Secours Hospital in Venice, Fla.

Dr. Murphy had a practice in Weymouth for 40 years, retiring in 2000. Born in Boston, he graduated from North Quincy High School. He graduated from Tufts University and Tufts Dental School in 1957. He became a permanent resident of Chatham in 1994 after he spending summers there for several years. He lived in 20 years in Hingham and eight years in Duxbury.
