QUINCY - Nicholas V. Marsney Sr., 83, of Quincy, retired assistant superintendent of the Boston Water and Sewer Commission, died Saturday at home.

Mr. Marsney worked for the commission for more than 40 years, retiring in 1989. He was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran, and flew 65 missions in the South Pacific as a member of the 13th Air Force.

Mr. Marsney grew up in South Boston and attended Boston schools. He lived there until moving to Quincy 22 years ago.
