WEYMOUTH - Frederick A. Holmes, 84, of East Weymouth, a retired
landscape gardener, died Saturday at Haven Health Center, Rocky Hill,
Conn.
Mr. Holmes owned the Braintree Landscaping Co., founded by his
late father, George W. Holmes, for many years. He was also the former
superintendent and caretaker of the historic First Parish Cemetery in
Braintree Square, affiliated with the First Congregational Church.
He was an Army Air Forces staff sergeant during World War II,
