HOLBROOK - Edmund J. Balkan, 84, of Holbrook, a railroad inspector
for 30 years, died Saturday at Bridgewater Nursing Home.
Mr. Balkan was a member of the Third Order of Franciscans of the
Knights of Columbus in Holbrook.
He lived in Holbrook for more than 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve H. (Ramos) Balkan; a
daughter, Beverly White of Newport News, Va.; three stepsons, David
Troxell of Cape Coral, Fla., John Troxell of Holbrook and Paul
