Gideon's back: Runaway dog is safe and sound
|
Shortly after noon Thursday, Kathleen Lawler received the call she
had been waiting for.
"I have your dog," said the man, a truck driver who said he saw
the golden retriever/Rottweiler mix just off Manheim Pike near Flory
Mill Road. About 20 minutes later, Lawler had Gideon in her arms,
after coaxing him out of a wooded area near the Yellow Transportation
property on Manheim Pike.
"It's been an exciting and exhausting day," Lawler said Thursday
afternoon as she sat with Gideon at Manor Animal Hospital. "I can't
tell you how happy I am to have him back."
